| Let's Eat. |
With all the time we spend in the firehouse, we are more than just co-workers, we are family. A third of our lives are spend together and eating is one of the top things that we do together. Lt Brian Farmer was featured on KFVS 12, a local news station, in the Heartland cooks section. Have some leftover turkey from that Thanksgiving feast.

As a firefighter, we get to help our community in many different ways. Most of those times they are in emergency situations when we see them. On occasions we can give back to the future of our community, our young people. Today, we loaded up boxes of colorful, new, american made coats to hand out to the 1st grade classes at Morgan Elementry.

Help us to provide new AMERICAN-MADE coats to children in need while supporting jobs in the USA!
What is Operation Warm?
In 2002, Operation Warm was founded to counter one of the most unfathomable hardships of childhood poverty; the lack of adequate winter clothing.

| The Many Hats We Wear. |
Has a firefighter, we are required to wear many hats as part of the job. Firefighter, EMT, a public educator, a car seat installer, just to name a few. Occasionally, earn get to earn a different hat to hang on our peg. For a few guys of Local 168, they can add elephant washer to their hats. A circus was in town and they were in need of the local fire department to help was the elephants.

| Let The Tours Begin |
Well it's that time of the year again that the schools come to visit their favorite public safety persons, the fire fighters and the fire stations. With fire prevention month just around the corner, some schools are getting a jump start on the fire station tours. Paducah's Tot School visited the fire fighters at Station 1 today. Cpt. | Farewell Robert.....Thanks for a great ride! |
On December 16th, 1991, Captain Robert Hair joined the IAFF Local 168 and Paducah Fire Department Family. August 29. 2014, he will receive his final alarm. At 1840, Captain Robert Hair will be retiring from the life he has known for almost 23 years, to pursue many more adventures in his life. I have the pleasure and honor to work with extraordinary man.
